PKRA Summer Series Championship Race No. 5 delivered one of the most exciting nights of racing of the season, highlighted by thrilling battles, impressive comeback drives, and another memorable victory for Next Level Karting.
While mechanical issues kept a few drivers from reaching the checkered flag, the team’s pace was evident throughout the evening. From Junior 1’s race-long battles to strong performances in 206 Senior and Rotax, Race No. 5 was another reminder of the depth that continues to define the NLK program.
Kid Kart: A Strong Run Cut Short
After qualifying 2nd, Vincent B. wasted no time getting into the fight for the lead, battling wheel-to-wheel for 1st throughout an exciting heat race. It was another display of the speed and racecraft that had fueled his perfect start to the summer season.
Unfortunately, his night came to an early end in the main event when a mechanical issue forced him to retire from the race. The DNF snapped Vincent’s impressive four-race winning streak and marked his first retirement of the season. While the result wasn’t what the team had hoped for, his pace throughout the evening showed that he’ll remain a favorite as the championship continues.
Junior 1: Another Last-to-First Masterclass
If there was a feature race to remember, it was Junior 1.
All three Next Level Karting drivers qualified inside the top six, immediately establishing themselves as contenders in one of the night’s deepest fields. From qualifying through the main event, the class produced nonstop action, making it the clear race of the night.
Jett F. once again embraced the challenge, voluntarily starting from the back of the heat race in another attempt at the now-famous “last-to-first challenge.” After charging through the field to earn his way into the front of the pack, he lined up for the main event ready to fight once again.
The final race lived up to the hype. After battling at the front throughout the evening, Jett emerged victorious in a dramatic sprint to the finish line, capturing another spectacular victory and proving once again why he’s become one of the most exciting drivers to watch this summer.
Eli S. also showed excellent speed throughout the night, battling with the lead group before an incident with another driver during the main event dropped him down the order. Despite the setback, he recovered to finish 6th after spending much of the evening racing with the class’s fastest drivers.
Travis A. continued his consistent season with another strong showing. After qualifying inside the top six, he spent the night racing at the front before bringing home a solid 9th-place finish against one of the toughest Junior 1 fields of the year.

Junior 2: Speed Without the Results
The final results don’t tell the full story of the Junior 2 class.
Kennedy S. continued her impressive pace by qualifying 3rd, while Maddie L. wasn’t far behind in 4th. The two teammates once again demonstrated that they have the speed to compete near the front, and Jack I. added one of his strongest performances of the summer as all three drivers raced competitively throughout the evening.
Unfortunately, Kennedy’s night came to an early end with a mechanical issue at the start of the main event after another promising run.
Maddie continued her consistent summer campaign with a 6th-place finish, while Jack crossed the line in 8th after another encouraging performance that continues to build confidence and experience.
206 Senior: Racing With the Front Pack
The LO206 Senior class once again featured some of the night’s closest competition, and Next Level Karting remained right in the middle of the action.
Dean R. led the team’s effort after earning top qualifier honors, placing him sixth on the starting grid under PKRA’s qualifying format. He raced with the lead pack throughout the evening and ultimately secured a strong 5th-place result after running with the front group from start to finish.
Nik H. added another solid performance in 6th, while Isaac P. finished 7th after recording the fastest lap of the main event. Although the finishing position didn’t reflect his outright speed, setting the quickest lap of the race demonstrated that the pace to contend for podiums is firmly there.
Colin D. completed the team’s effort with a 12th-place finish following a penalty after another hard-fought night in one of the deepest classes at PKRA.

Rotax Junior Max: Maverick Charges to the Podium
Maverick M. continued his impressive summer in Rotax Junior Max with a runner-up finish.
Competing in the combined Junior and Senior Rotax field, Maverick gained five positions during the main event while battling against a large group of Senior Max drivers with significantly more horsepower. His determined drive earned him a well-deserved 2nd-place finish in the Junior category and another podium for Next Level Karting.
Rotax Senior Max: Contact in the Carousel
Elijah L. unfortunately saw his evening come to an early end with a DNF in Rotax Senior Max after another racer drove over the back of his kart leaving the exhaust pipe cracked. While the result wasn’t what the team had hoped for, every race provides another opportunity to regroup and come back stronger in the next round.
Looking Beyond the Results
Race No. 5 was a reminder that race results only tell part of the story.
Mechanical issues prevented Vincent B., Kennedy S., and Eli L. from reaching the finish despite showing promising speed throughout the evening. Meanwhile, Jett F. delivered another unforgettable comeback victory, the entire Junior 1 program raced among the class leaders, Dean R. anchored a strong 206 Senior effort, and Maverick M. added another Rotax podium to the team’s growing collection.
Five rounds into the PKRA Summer Series, Next Level Karting continues to demonstrate exactly what the program is built on: developing fast drivers, racing with integrity, and competing at the front in every class.
