Giovanni Perez-D’Amico Crowned 2025 K1 Speed U.S. Champion, Finishes Runner-Up at World Finals
Next Level Karting’s own Giovanni Perez-D’Amico delivered a standout performance at the 2025 K1 Speed U.S. Championship, claiming the national title in dominant fashion. After finishing second in 2023’s U.S. Finals, Giovanni came back stronger than ever—securing pole position and leading from start to finish to become K1 Speed’s 2025 Adult U.S. Champion.
Hot on his heels was Richmond’s Garrett Manes, who stayed within striking distance throughout the race, but Giovanni’s composure and pace held firm. Meanwhile, Clovis driver Brendyn Reynolds, fresh off a strong finish in the California State Championship, battled hard to take third place and secure his ticket to the World Finals.
Taking on the World’s Best
Immediately following the national championship, Giovanni joined the top U.S. finishers to represent his country at the Adult E-World Championship, facing elite competition from Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Once again, Giovanni started from pole and launched into the final with confidence.
But this time, Manes came back with a vengeance. After making an early move past Mexico’s Rodrigo Arellano, Manes set his sights on Giovanni. On Lap 3, he made a daring pass in the final corner, edging into the lead. Giovanni stayed close throughout, maintaining a tight one-second gap, but couldn’t find the opportunity to strike back.
In the end, Garrett Manes took the win and the $25,000 prize, while Giovanni crossed the line just 1.1 seconds behind, finishing second in the world. Canada’s Nathan Wilkie rounded out the podium with a hard-fought third place, completing a remarkable triple-podium streak for the Canadian team.
