David Haraldsen #32
Driver, Coach, & Team Principal
David Haraldsen’s passion for racing was sparked as a child watching the legendary Senna vs. Prost battles unfold on the streets of downtown Phoenix. That early inspiration became a lifelong pursuit of speed, precision, and purpose—both behind the wheel and beyond it.
His career as an automotive journalist for Jetset Magazine opened doors to drive some of the world’s most advanced supercars and test on racetracks across the country. But it’s David’s personal dedication that’s built his hands-on experience in competitive racing, including time in Formula 4, Radical, Wolf GB08, GT4, and GTLM cars. Along the way, he’s had the privilege to learn from legends like Tom Kristensen, Helio Castroneves, and Simon Pagenaud.
David rediscovered his competitive edge in karting at K1 Speed, where he quickly made his mark—finishing 3rd in his debut Challenge GP season, setting a new track record in 2021, and winning the K1 Speed Phoenix Championship. That success earned him a spot in the 2024 K1 Speed World Championship.
After stepping up to outdoor karting at PKRA in 2021, David has claimed multiple wins and podiums in the LO206 Masters and Senior classes, while currently holding two PKRA track records. Known for his smooth racecraft, strategic mind, and relentless pace, he’s gained the respect of racers across Arizona.
Now, as co-founder of Next Level Karting, David combines his racing pedigree with a passion for mentoring others—proving that with focus, humility, and heart, you can build champions on and off the track.
