Growing up in a family passionate about cars, I’ve been around the automotive world for as long as I can remember. But it wasn’t until later in life that I truly discovered my passion for racing.

As a kid, I was a high-performance athlete focused on baseball and football—constantly pushing my body to the limit to be the best I could be. Unfortunately, injuries forced me to step away from the sports I loved. That’s when I found karting—and everything changed.

From the moment I hit the track, I knew I wanted to be competitive. I secured my first podium in just my eighth race, followed by my first win in my second season. Despite back-to-back runner-up finishes in the Junior 2 championship, I started to feel frustrated. That’s when my dad and I hit reset and reminded ourselves why we started racing in the first place: to have fun.

With a renewed mindset, I went on to win the Junior 2 Championship, then carried that momentum into the national stage—passing 31 of the best drivers at CKNA Grand Nationals. In my debut Senior season, I captured the Senior Championship, a milestone I’ll never forget.

What David and the Next Level Karting team are doing for this sport and club is incredible, and I’m proud to be a part of it. At the end of the day, it’s not just about winning or losing—it’s about enjoying the ride and having a great time at the track.
